Description of the painting by Franz Marc “Two Women”
Cloth of absolute peace. Probably this is the way to call this work right away. Two women are seated on the mountain grass and are talking peacefully. One lady almost lies on her side, and the second just sat on her side. This allows them to talk to each other about something more intimate. Although you can dream here in different ways.
Well, for example, these are two friends who have not seen each other for a long time, and now a meeting has arisen and they probably have something to remember and something to talk about. Or, for example, it is a mother and daughter. And then the family also has something to discuss on vacation. The fact that it occurs on the mountainside allows us to imply a high-altitude landscape in the background. Why, then, does absolute peace breathe from this canvas?
And simply there is no feeling or premonition of misfortune or something bad. There is a feeling that you relax with them. What is
And now about the colors and details of the canvas. It is worth noting that the artist is not particularly worked on the details. Everything is somehow a little sweeping, there are no clear lines – everything is smooth and graceful. By the way, what else brings to rest is the lack of clear lines.
The canvas is made with strokes and therefore the effect is sweeping. And of course the colors.
On the canvas there are two bright spots – it is the grass on which the women are housed and the blue jacket of one of the beauties. But all attention is paid to the green grass, that is, green. For this, even the yellow one is very muffled – the hat of one of the women and the flowers on the grass. But in general, this is not so harsh, but the right combination of colors, most likely gives us such a late contemplation of the canvas.
