Description of the painting by Viktor Vasnetsov “Autumn”
In the picture you can see the alley near the country house in the copper-gold decoration of autumn. Autumn is the most lyrical season. Here you can take autumn as a festival of colors and a farewell to a warm summer. This landscape does not inspire sad thoughts about the coming winter, because everything is beautiful in nature, and every season has its own special beauty. The picture is saturated with cheerful light tones. The foliage on the trees, from lack of sunlight rapidly turns yellow. The leaves fall, covering the ground with a beautiful golden carpet. The wind seems to blow its leaves off the trees with its light breeze and circling with them in the autumn dance. The foliage has already covered the earth with a rather large layer, and the desire to walk along it is reborn, enjoying the rustle of fallen leaves underfoot.
Some leaves are still visible on the treetops, but their number on the ground is much larger. Tall and thin tree trunks are directed into the sky, thereby closing it. It seems that with the arrival of autumn they are darkened, tired and want to sleep. The trees stand steadfastly, periodically dropping their leaves, thereby bringing the land as a gift. Still, behind the house you can see a piece of blue sky. It is bright, with the sun going up above, but almost without sunlight.
At the end of the alley, you can see the outlines of the structure of a two-story house with a veranda on the top floor. From it comes the construction of a long dark wooden fence. On the alley there are two wooden benches, with leaves falling on them. Golden autumn is a great time for autumn walks.
Looking at the picture, the viewer imbued with a deep sense of love for this time and for nature itself, giving it unforgettable moments of enjoying the beautiful. For the artist, autumn is the brightest and most touching time, perhaps that is why such paintings are imbued with a special love.
